When you are thinking about your dream car you might think of the Bat Mobile, a Porsche or a Ferrari even? The world of cars boasts many stunning beauties, however, none of them may come close to the new Vantage GT3 from Aston Martin!
Well March is here and that means one thing for car lovers and motoring enthusiasts: The Geneva International Motor show! The one time in the year that major car manufacturers show off their latest creations. The international show will be happening from the 5th to the 15th of March in Switzerland. One of the biggest stars at this years show will be the Aston Martin Vantage GT3. The car will be making it’s first public appearance at the this year’s show.
This car has been a while in the making and has been long awaited by many in the industry. Take the classic reputation of the Aston Martin car and add a huge dose of energy and voila! You have the Vantage GT3. This road ready GT3 takes its queue from the Vantage racers that compete in GT3 car racing. This is a sports car that has come a long way from it’s humble beginnings, find a new and improved model all round. For those of you who are coming to the GT3 for the first time, this car has extreme aerodynamic aids all around its exterior. This will be to help with producing down force that will in turn make cornering speeds much faster. Just one of the aspects to this model that will give it an edge over it’s competition.
It’s also super practical too- the outer panels on the Vantage GT3 have been changed to carbonfibre, a much lighter alternative to the more traditional materials which were heavier. With the lighter carbonfibre, the car is reduced in weight by over 100 kg, another aspect to it that makes this car ‘lighter on it’s feet’ than the competition.
But what about the inside of this amazing looking car? What is it that makes this Aston Martin so special?
Take a look under the bonnet to find a flawless looking interior. There is an updated version of the 6.0-litre V12 engine. This state-of-the-art machinery is claimed by Aston Martin to deliver 600PS (592bhp). In lay mans terms that means that this car is capable of speeds of up to 185 mph, it will get you from 0-62mph in just 3.7 seconds- Now that is fast!
Wouldn’t you just love to get your hands on on of these beauties? Unfortunately along with the extremely high price tag, there have only been 100 examples of this car made worldwide. Also due to certain regulations, this car will not be sold in North America or Asia. That means there are just 100 of these left to be sold off in Europe- we are sure that each of these will be snapped up very quickly. In the meantime, the Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will definitely be going on the Want Driving Lessons Car Hall of Fame!
